About the Role
Lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI solutions for clients, managing teams of data scientists to build innovative generative AI applications that address complex business problems. Combine deep technical expertise in AI and machine learning with people leadership, translating emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the delivery of complex generative AI applications, from design through to production deployment.
- Set technical standards and champion engineering best practices across the team.
- Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Oversee end-to-end AI solution delivery, balancing technical excellence with commercial pragmatism.
- Ensure robust documentation for client self-sufficiency.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities including technical scoping, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Translate complex AI concepts into compelling business value propositions.
- Help shape the direction of the AI Solutions team.
- Identify opportunities to develop reusable components and accelerators.
- Stay connected to the evolving AI ecosystem.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience in data science, AI and machine learning solution delivery, or technical consulting.
- Demonstrated track record of progression to technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of large language model applications.
- Practical experience building with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
- Strong Python programming skills with modern software development practices including testing, CI/CD, code quality tools, and cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience leading the design of production-grade AI solutions and machine learning pipelines using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Vertex AI Pipelines, and DB.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in effort estimation, scoping, and business development.
- Ability to solve problems and think big.
