About the Role

As part of the Global Employer Services team within Tax & Legal, you will form part of the payroll group responsible for delivering a range of payroll related services to clients. This role involves providing payroll services for both domestic and international employees.

Responsibilities

  • Review shadow payroll calculations.
  • Advise clients on payroll options and implementation.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with company procedures, payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations, terminations, superannuation, and other associated payroll tasks.
  • Review monthly and yearly state payroll tax return reconciliations.
  • Calculate month-end remittances, ensuring statutory guidelines are met.
  • Calculate Workers' compensation payments as part of payroll processing.
  • Complete month-end procedures, including reports and GL files.
  • Assist with monitoring and entering master file details.
  • Ensure payroll queries and emails are actioned and resolved promptly.
  • Manage junior resources, including on-the-job training and coaching.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and superannuation obligations.
  • Provide excellence in customer service to internal clients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all employee-related issues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume processing environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Australian payroll related experience.

Skills

  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Australian payroll systems.
  • Ability to resolve payroll queries.
