About the Role
Drive revenue growth for the Energy division in Japan by managing an assigned account portfolio and bank of business. This role involves leading retention and expansion efforts within existing accounts, developing and executing account plans, and participating in initiatives to accelerate Energy growth across Japan and APAC.
Responsibilities
- Consultative sales and negotiations to meet/exceed revenue quota across existing and target customers.
- Grow revenue with retention focus and customer penetration (depth and breadth) across functions and workflows.
- Increase engagement by proactively managing relationships, prioritizing opportunities, and mitigating cancellations/downgrades.
- Create enterprise-wide value-add plans by coordinating with Customer Success, Commercial Specialists, Marketing, and Business Lines.
- Own strategy/planning inputs for Japan sales objectives and alignment to customer needs and divisional / enterprise strategies.
- Manage forecasting, account plans, reporting, Salesforce hygiene, product needs signals, and customer feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful consultative sales growing mid-tier/Regional or Global Enterprise accounts; energy/commodity/financial information/dataset preferred.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation skills, business/financial acumen, and strategic planning capability.
- Excellent communication in Japanese and English; strong phone and interpersonal skills; effective collaboration across teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and results orientation.
- Proven success in Japan (APAC experience is a plus); multicultural empathy and regional understanding preferred.
- Strong energy/commodity domain understanding and systems proficiency (Salesforce, MS Office, and other AI platforms, Prime Resource Group/PRG diagnostic methodology preferred).
- Preferred experience includes selling AI solutions that address clients’ AI-related needs and use cases.
