About the Role

The Rating Analyst generates employee benefit quotes, including medical and ancillary products. This role requires gathering client data, applying carrier guidelines, and ensuring quote accuracy and competitiveness. The analyst collaborates with the sales team and brokers, utilizing proprietary and carrier quoting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Generate employee benefit quotes, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Gather and review client information, including census and group data.
  • Apply carrier guidelines to ensure accurate and competitive quotes.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, brokers, and internal departments.
  • Utilize Warner Pacific's proprietary quoting engine and carrier/vendor systems.
  • Manage a high volume of quote requests, balancing speed and accuracy.
  • Collect and review detailed client information such as employee census data, group information, plan preferences, and coverage requirements.
  • Generate competitive quotes for employee benefits products within service level agreements.
  • Customize benefits plans to align with client needs.
  • Generate quotes for multiple states using carrier quoting platforms.
  • Utilize CRM platforms like Salesforce and other internal systems to track pending items.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and sales representatives to gather information and answer inquiries.
  • Provide clear explanations of benefits plan structures, premium costs, and coverage options.
  • Assist brokers with questions while they run their own quotes on the Warner Pacific quoting engine.
  • Provide support to the sales team, brokers, and account managers during the proposal process.
  • Provide team support and desk coverage during absences or high-demand periods.
  • Assist other departments as needed to support organizational goals.
  • Work overtime as needed, particularly during peak periods.
  • Perform related responsibilities and additional tasks as needed.
  • Stay updated on trends in employee benefits offerings, plan designs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Monitor industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries within service level agreements.
  • Acknowledge urgent requests upon receipt.
  • Respond to client inquiries, concerns, or requests for adjustments and resolve issues promptly.
  • Treat all employees and customers with respect.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding punctuality, attendance, and professionalism.
  • Adapt to change with a positive mindset and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong judgment, integrity, and accountability.
  • Complete assignments on time and proactively seek additional responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits products such as group health, dental, vision, and other ancillary products is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, spreadsheets (intermediate skills).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
