About the Role

As a Cyber Security Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting the Office of Sport's technology environment by administering, maintaining and enhancing cyber security platforms and controls. You will support security operations, strengthen cyber resilience, manage technology risks, and ensure security solutions remain effective, integrated and aligned with NSW Government security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain and continuously improve cyber security technologies, including endpoint protection, security monitoring, identity and access management, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Support cyber security operations by monitoring security events, assisting with incident investigation and response activities, and working with managed security service providers to improve detection and protection capabilities.
  • Drive security uplift initiatives through vulnerability remediation, patch management, system integrations and the implementation of cyber security best practices across the technology environment.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Experience administering and supporting enterprise cyber security technologies, including security monitoring, endpoint protection, identity and access management, vulnerability management and cloud security controls.
  • Experience managing and integrating cyber security platforms within complex ICT environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cyber security principles, risk mitigation practices and security operations.

  • $116,981 to $129,492 + super & leave loading
