About the Role

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiovascular program in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid position provides advanced practice care across both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting patients with cardiac rhythm disorders through comprehensive electrophysiology services. The NP/PA will serve as a key clinical partner within the electrophysiology team, providing continuity of care through EP clinics, inpatient consultation services, procedural coordination, and longitudinal management of patients with arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices. This role offers the opportunity to practice collaboratively with electrophysiologists while developing expertise in a highly specialized area of cardiovascular medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced practice care across outpatient and inpatient settings for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
  • Serve as a key clinical partner within the electrophysiology team.
  • Provide continuity of care through EP clinics, inpatient consultation services, and procedural coordination.
  • Manage patients with arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices.
  • Manage patients with atrial fibrillation, SVT, VT, bradyarrhythmias, syncope, and other cardiac rhythm disorders.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care for catheter ablations, cardioversions, pacemaker implants, ICD implants, CRT devices, and generator changes.
  • Participate in device management, remote monitoring review, and device interrogations/programming.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and electrophysiology program development.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted California licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA).
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Additional certifications as required by the department.
