About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the financial performance of one of Australia's largest rental fleets, providing analysis, reporting, and commercial insights to support key business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting for all fleet-related costs and assets.
- Manage fleet financial reporting, including month-end analysis, variance reporting, and commentary.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate accounting of vehicle assets, depreciation, and fleet-related expenses.
- Perform residual value analysis and depreciation modelling to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Partner with Fleet leaders on vehicle procurement, replacement planning, write-offs, and lifecycle analysis.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls across fleet accounts.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs that provide visibility of fleet performance.
- Collaborate with Fleet, Procurement, and Operational teams to improve data accuracy and system integration.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements, with a focus on automation and reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified.
- 3+ years' experience in FP&A, Management Accounting, Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering or a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and month-end reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Experience within fleet, automotive, leasing or another asset-intensive environment will be highly regarded.
