About the Role
As a securitization analyst at GlobalCapital (GC), you will help develop our securitization insights and data offering, initially in Europe and then globally, by working with the editorial and data teams to provide unique, valuable market coverage for our subscribers. Candidates should be ready for a challenge as they will be expected to learn much about securitization while working in a fast-paced environment within global markets. This position is open to people new to the financial markets and is considered an entry-level job but with scope for rapid development.
Responsibilities
- Work on GC’s securitization data products, contributing to everything from data research to publishing stories
- Read and understand complex regulatory filings and research on the market
- Work with the securitization reporters to build and maintain GC’s data sources in the primary market
- Deputise for and support the European securitization editorial team when required
- Act as the link between the editorial and data teams to ensure the Asset-Backed Monitor database is kept up to date and is accurate
- Support the growth of our securitization offering into new markets
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the UK without the requirement for visa sponsorship
- Basic understanding of and curiosity about financial markets
- Fluency in English both oral and written
- A very high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work under own initiative in managing a varied workload, identifying day to day issues and challenges and recommending appropriate courses of action
- Ability to forge relationships with contacts and sources outside of GC
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues around the globe
- Interest in using technology to automate workflows and improve efficiency through the use of AI, Python, etc.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite products and internet navigation
- Familiarity with database products and ability to demonstrate what is required for their successful operation is a benefit but not essential, as you will receive training on the job
- Knowledge of securitization; aptitude to learn and a clear interest in the subject are required
