About the Role

SRP, a leading provider of structured products news, data and events, is seeking an ambitious financial reporter with up to two years of relevant experience to join its editorial team and expand coverage of the Americas structured products market. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialist expertise in structured products, derivatives, ETFs, wealth management and financial technology.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and produce high-quality news stories, interviews, features and market analysis focused on the Americas structured products market.
• Contribute to SRP’s data-driven journalism through regular reporting on issuance trends, product developments, rankings and market activity.
• Monitor key developments across structured products, ETFs, annuities, regulation, technology and employment trends.
• Build and develop a network of industry contacts across issuers, distributors, asset managers, technology providers and other market participants.
• Support larger editorial projects including special reports, surveys, awards research and thematic sector coverage.
• Work closely with SRP’s editorial and data teams to identify emerging trends and support quantitative analysis.
• Help support SRP’s Americas conferences, webinars and events through content creation, speaker research and editorial coverage.
• Use social media and digital platforms to promote stories and audience engagement.
• Provide editorial support across the wider global team when needed.
• Some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Experience writing high-quality content for a news organisation, financial publication or B2B media outlet.
• Strong interest in financial markets, business journalism and investment products.
• Excellent writing, research and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to explain technical or financial concepts clearly and engagingly.
• Comfortable building professional relationships and developing sources.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Numeracy and comfort working with data.
• Experience with digital publishing, newsletters or social media.
• Interest in data journalism or financial analysis.
• Public speaking or event participation experience.
