About the Role

As a Consultant in Energy & Commodity Trading, you will advise clients on key topics such as the digitalization and optimization of energy and commodity management, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of leading practice solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing trading, risk, and control processes, identify optimization potential, and support clients in developing their organization and work methods.
• Develop holistic, innovative solutions for clients, addressing complex issues from trading strategy to operational implementation.
• Support the introduction and optimization of digital solutions, such as in Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM), reporting, or process automation.
• Evaluate market, process, and risk data, prepare results for target audiences, and develop concrete recommendations for clients.
• Contribute to the development of new services and business models.
• Shape the future within the international Energy & Resources community.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Mathematics, or equivalent (e.g., STEM).
• Initial experience in industry or consulting, with a background in commodities, risk, or trading being advantageous.
• Strong interest in commodity, energy, innovation, and technology-related topics, coupled with creativity in solution finding.
• Basic knowledge of the energy industry or commodity trading.
• High communication skills, confident demeanor, and independent working style.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
