About the Role
The Mechanical Equipment Engineering Support professional provides support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. This position works under the supervision of engineering staff while independently executing simple projects. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams, union trades, operators, vendors, and plant contacts to address equipment repairs, improvements, and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with engineering team members, union trades, and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
- Interact with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment and repair-related items.
- Interpret high-level technical documentation, including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
- Execute simple equipment repair and improvement projects involving a wide variety of plant equipment, including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and general facility equipment.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical knowledge across a wide range of applications.
- Maintain a high level of organization.
- US Citizenship required.
