About the Role

Moss Consulting is looking for an HR Manager in Austin TX who is ready to own the HR function for the growing group of business owners we support. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, operates with integrity, and is equally comfortable in the details and in the room with ownership. We are building an uncommonly awesome team of high-output HR operators who are highly driven and accountable.

Responsibilities

Own all major HR functions end-to-end for assigned client businesses, including payroll, benefits administration, conflict resolution, leadership support, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance.
Manage complex employee relations matters from intake to resolution.
Own the compliance calendar for assigned clients, including I-9, FLSA, EEO-1, ACA, and applicable state requirements.
Evaluate the overall health of HR at each client, identifying gaps and presenting findings to leadership.
Lead open enrollment and performance review cycles.
Partner directly with client ownership-level leadership, including handling difficult conversations.
Support client businesses in running effective people operations.

Requirements

High output and high accountability professionals who own tasks and bring them to completion.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
Advanced degree, MBA, or HR field preferred.
Proven experience managing complex employee relations independently.
Full competency in HR compliance auditing.
Comfortable partnering with and advising ownership, including delivering difficult news and pushing back when necessary.
Reliable, a strong contributor, and someone peers can count on to move work forward.
Genuine interest in developing others, not just managing tasks.
Experience with EOS is a significant plus; familiarity with the framework will accelerate impact. Open to learning EOS if the right person.

$37.50/hr to start, progressing to $50.00/hr across the first year (target earnings $120-130k+ depending on capacity)
