About the Role

London Transport Museum is experiencing growth, supported by the LTM50 project, aiming to expand commercial revenue and enhance its offerings. This role will lead the Venue Hire and Catering function, driving revenue growth across venue hire, filming, photography, and catering, while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing commercial opportunities, leading strategic partnerships, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of events within unique London venues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Venue Hire and Catering function.
  • Drive revenue growth across venue hire, filming, photography, and catering.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.
  • Develop commercial opportunities.
  • Lead strategic partnerships.
  • Manage key supplier relationships.
  • Ensure successful delivery of events within unique London venues.
  • Manage procurement exercises, tender processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage supplier and catering contracts, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and value for money.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Commercially driven venue hire and events professional with experience balancing operational delivery with revenue generation.
  • Experience delivering commercial growth within venue hire, events, visitor attractions, heritage, arts, or cultural organizations.
  • Strong sales and marketing expertise with a track record of developing new business opportunities and increasing revenue.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credible relationships across internal teams, senior leaders, partners, clients, and suppliers.
  • Experience working within complex stakeholder environments where commercial objectives, customer experience, and organizational priorities must be carefully balanced.
  • Strong operational background with experience leading events from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • Ability to switch between strategic planning and operational delivery.
  • Must be able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
  • TfL is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
