About the Role
This position supports a scientific team conducting translational research in hematology, blood disorders, and stem cell biology. The role involves conducting cellular and molecular studies, analyzing data, presenting findings, and contributing to manuscript writing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and design independent research under the direction of the lab Principle Investigator (PI).
- Conduct experiments including cell culture, analyzing normal and malignant hematopoiesis and hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells in various mouse models.
- Summarize experimental data and assist in drafting figures, results, and methods for publication.
- Lead junior research assistants/technicians/students.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the present scientific literature relating to the research in the laboratory.
- Present research findings to other members of the laboratory.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with cell culture, flow cytometry analyses, molecular biologic techniques, and animal handling.
- Experience in flow cytometry, animal handling, and cell culture.

Salary/Compensations
- For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $83,480.00p/yr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
