About the Role
Lead Business Development Managers and Inside Sales Teams in the NSW region, driving sales strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market growth objectives. This role focuses on leadership, customer relationships, new business opportunities, and exceptional customer service, while aligning state operations with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Foster a high-performance culture aligning commercial success with organizational values.
- Drive profitable revenue growth through effective sales planning, execution, and performance management.
- Lead, coach, and develop Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Inside Sales Account Managers (ISAMs).
- Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, development discussions, and succession planning.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-calibre sales talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Lead commercial negotiations and review high-value proposals and quotations.
- Partner with BDMs to identify and develop high-growth customers, including opportunities exceeding $1M annual spend.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts.
- Provide timely weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline health, opportunity conversion, and productivity metrics.
- Ensure customer retention, revenue growth, and margin objectives are achieved.
- Act as the senior escalation point for customer and prospect issues.
- Drive a customer-centric approach to strengthen long-term partnerships and business growth.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing B2B sales teams.
- Strong coaching, leadership, and people management capabilities.
- Proven ability to achieve sales growth, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and leading commercial negotiations.
- Strong forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and sales pipeline management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer outcomes, profitability, and organizational objectives.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and drive accountability across diverse sales teams.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce).
