About the Role

Responsible for all activities associated with onboarding and credentialing of Clinical Reviewers, specifically for IPRO’s VHA Peer Review Contract. Duties include processing provider applications and re-applications, reviewing and loading information into the database tracking system to ensure high-quality standards are maintained and compliant with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, submit, and monitor initial credentialing and recredentialing applications for all Clinical Reviewers, including the VHA Federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card process.
  • Submit applications to the Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) and collaborate with IPRO’s Credentialing Coordinator.
  • Provide ongoing follow-up to ensure timely completion of all credentialing requirements.
  • Maintain and manage provider records within electronic databases and credentialing platforms.
  • Generate queries, reports, and documentation while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.
  • Ensure provider files remain fully compliant with URAC standards, applicable state and federal regulations, contractual obligations, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor and track the expiration of critical credentials and documentation, including state licenses, CPR certifications, malpractice and liability insurance, and other required credentials.
  • Facilitate timely renewals to ensure uninterrupted compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact among Clinical Reviewers, Medical Directors, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, streamline onboarding activities, and support credentialing processes.
  • Provide timely assistance regarding applications, documentation requirements, appointments, and PIV card access and facilitation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing Credentialing Committee meetings involving internal stakeholders, external partners, clinical team members, and Medical Directors.
  • Prepare meeting materials, document outcomes, and support follow-up activities as required.
  • Provide support for recruitment, onboarding, and related departmental initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Highly developed organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and positive demeanor in all interactions.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong database management capabilities, including querying and document generation.
  • Proven ability to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of reports, records, and data.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare and credentialing processes, including the importance of maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.

Salary/Compensations

  • $27.88 - $29.80 per hour
