About the Role
Manage relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants, and other business partners globally. Own the full partnership lifecycle, identifying high-value opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships to generate measurable business outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of business development, relationship management, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants, and other business partners globally.
- Own the full partnership lifecycle, identifying high-value opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships that generate measurable business outcomes.
- Identify, structure, and grow partnerships that drive distribution of Carta Law's services.
- Turn law firms, investment banks, and compliance consultancy firms from potential competitors into active referral partners and collaborators.
Requirements
- 4+ years in partnerships or account management.
- Experience in or building partnership channels via law firms, asset management firms, or professional services firms preferred (ideally from scratch).
- Strong understanding of the private markets ecosystem — PE, VC, credit, real assets — and how legal and compliance workstreams operate within it.
- Experience managing senior relationships and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
- Commercially sharp, with the ability to structure and close partnership deals.
- Excellent communicator — confident presenting to partners, General Counsels, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-directed; comfortable building something from the ground up.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
