About the Role
Our Value Creation Advisory (VCA) team advises clients on increasing transaction value through operational improvements, focusing on pre-deal and post-deal activities. We deliver practical, pragmatic solutions tailored to each client's unique needs, serving public companies, private businesses, and private equity investors. Our services include carve-out due diligence and execution, merger integration, synergy assessment, operating model design, and EBITDA enhancement initiatives like cost reduction and rapid targeted interventions.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day client work for various project sizes, including devising and leading client meetings, undertaking analysis, and preparing client deliverables.
- Manage commercial and risk aspects of projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Work independently on smaller projects and lead small teams on larger ones.
- Interpret and analyze complex information to identify and articulate key issues.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by working effectively with colleagues, clients, and other parties.
- Demonstrate leadership and a willingness to be involved.
- Prepare sales proposals and pitches, and support wider sales efforts.
- Proactively build internal and external networks to generate opportunities.
- Support the development of junior colleagues, potentially serving as a people manager.
- Assist Directors and Partners with practice management, leading internal initiatives, and delegating tasks.
Requirements
- Significant experience in at least two core service areas: carve-outs (including due diligence), integrations, or other value creation work (defining and implementing revenue growth and cost reduction initiatives).
- Experience in an advisory/professional services context, potentially including in-house/industry experience.
- Experience leading small teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing high-quality written reports, Excel analysis, and presentations.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt communication style for different stakeholders.
- Project management, change management, or transformation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Flexibility to travel in the UK and internationally.
- Experience using AI tools in work delivery while maintaining judgment.
