About the Role
The Assistant Program Director provides day-to-day supervision of program and designated staff, ensuring coordination, communication, and integration of program services. This role assists with budget oversight, audits, and program compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in program development, adaptation, and alignment with agency mission and client needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge to evaluate program adaptation and expansion.
- Ensure quality of service through constant presence within the program.
- Participate in and document required training for all areas/staff.
- Coordinate program schedules for staff and recipients.
- Prepare and submit statistical reports as required.
- Identify and establish community contacts and agencies for networking, referrals, and working relationships.
- Meet performance expectations and metrics for the assigned program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Supervise the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Program/Department under the Program Director.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws.
- Demonstrate solid comprehension of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) where applicable.
- Conduct interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, coaching, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- 5 years of working experience in a Youth-based program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organization and program development skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
- Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multi-task.
