About the Role
Frank, Rimerman is seeking motivated and collaborative summer interns for their Family Office practice. This internship offers insight into complex Silicon Valley clients and helps develop technical, professional, leadership, and interpersonal skills to launch a successful career. Interns participate in firm-wide events and socials, fostering a sense of belonging and building relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process AP for multiple clients using different accounting systems
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
- Categorize bank and credit card transactions and record journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate any unusual items
- Maintain accurate and timely financial information and process monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Assist in monitoring client cash flows
- Reconcile and analyze bank/brokerage accounts and private equity and hedge fund capital statements
- Provide support on special projects and additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program with a concentration in accounting
- At least one accounting course completed to be considered for an interview
- On track to complete a minimum of three accounting courses prior to the internship program
- Minimum GPA of 3.2, with 'B' grades or above in accounting courses and a higher major GPA preferred
- Final graduation date with academic requirements for California CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and July 2028
- Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Not eligible for sponsorship, and the firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas
- Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered per the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
