About the Role

We are a growing mechanical installation company specializing in commercial kitchen hood systems, ductwork, ventilation, and related mechanical projects throughout New York. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and experienced In-House Project Manager to oversee projects from kickoff through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial kitchen hood and duct installation projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate scheduling with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors
  • Review plans, specifications, and project scope
  • Track project timelines, change orders, and job costs
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation
  • Communicate with inspectors, clients, and site supervisors
  • Order materials and coordinate deliveries
  • Attend job meetings and occasional site visits
  • Ensure compliance with NYC codes, safety standards, and project requirements
  • Resolve project issues quickly and professionally
  • Support estimating and closeout processes as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, ductwork, kitchen exhaust systems, or related trades
  • Previous project management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction workflows
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • NYC construction experience strongly preferred
