About the Role

Manufacturing Specialist – OEC Production is responsible for the setup and mass production of surgical C-arm imaging equipment, aiming for safe, high-quality product shipment according to customer deadlines. Future assignments may include departments such as ultrasound probe and CT detector manufacturing, production control, manufacturing technology, and EHS, allowing for the acquisition of diverse knowledge and experience within the manufacturing division.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a manufacturing line leader, managing new line setup, contributing to stable production and shipments, and improving productivity through improvement activities based on lean manufacturing principles.
  • Product assembly, inspection, and adjustment on the manufacturing line.
  • Identify and propose solutions for issues within the manufacturing process.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Create and revise various documents based on work procedure manuals and QMS.
  • Manage applications and changes related to equipment introduction.
  • Comply with quality control standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Accurately create and manage manufacturing records.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate and communicate within the manufacturing team.
  • Standardize and improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
  • Liaise with related departments (design, engineering, etc.).
  • Shift work (day and night shifts) will be required during mass production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher (preferably in an industrial field).
  • Over 2 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control.
  • Problem-solving ability and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Japanese communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is desirable.
  • English communication skills are desirable.
