About the Role

You will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets. You will execute standard work processes using AM and PM standards, ensure safety processes are observed, and perform quality assurance activities. You will identify and report equipment losses.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize processing, packaging, and warehouse areas.
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment following lockout/tag-out procedures.
  • Perform elevated cleaning on ladder platforms, including vacuuming, brushing, and washing.
  • Sweep and wash floors.
  • Promote good housekeeping and manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene and wear required attire (clean uniform, hair and beard nets).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and apply Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Policies.
  • Understand relevant HSE risks and control measures.
  • Communicate and act on imminent danger situations, hazards, non-conformities, and incident reporting.
  • Adhere to relevant HSE programs.
  • Participate in HSE programs and controls.
  • Wear and distribute PPE as required.
  • Follow plant food safety (HACCP) and GMP compliance.
  • Use proper tools that meet company food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
  • Comply with Company policies, procedures, and local legislation.
  • Report all quality and food safety issues immediately.
  • Ensure all Sanitation/Process recording and documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Has a sense of urgency and has repeatedly shown good judgment.
  • Able to perform physical requirements of the role, such as lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Positive attitude, good team player, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a good attendance record.
  • Attention to safety and GMP’s.
  • Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
  • Able to train/cross-train others as needed.
  • Proven ability to adapt and quickly learn new tasks.
  • Must be a self-starter with a keen desire to learn.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task frequently.

Salary/Compensations

  • $51,850.00 to $64,813.00 CAD
