About the Role

Join our team at St. Peter’s Health Partners - Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center as a Food Service Worker. This role focuses on preparing scratch-made meals with a holistic approach, emphasizing seasonal, local, and responsibly sourced ingredients. You will contribute to enriching the lives of residents by providing high-quality care and services, enjoying work-life balance with flexible scheduling and ongoing growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Assist in cleaning and sanitation of the food service area, including setting and clearing tables, dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and other utility tasks.
Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and maintaining proper food temperature and presentation.
Follow HACCP for correct food handling and production.
Properly store foods in designated areas, adhering to all corporate, State, and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, administrators, and Managers.
Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following correct procedures.
Adhere to SPHP's code of conduct.

Requirements

Food service and customer service experience is preferred.
Working papers required if under 18 years of age.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to read and write English on a minimum 6th grade level.
