About the Role
Perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, and suspension, drive train, and steering systems. Enjoy working on a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment, supporting drivers and servicing advanced vehicles. Tackle new challenges daily, maintain intricate machinery, receive training in new technologies, work a regular shift in a stable industry, and be recognized for exceptional performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain advanced knowledge and skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems, performing complex repair maintenance functions on-site and on the road.
- Perform chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Service refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Repair and maintain air and hydraulic braking systems.
- Perform engine repair and diagnostics.
- Service diesel fuel systems and perform fuel system diagnostics.
- Repair and maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems.
- Service Aftertreatment systems, REGEN, and perform diagnostics.
- Diagnose electrical concerns using scan tools.
- Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
- Identify the source of malfunctions using various electronic tools.
- Complete applicable company training programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
- 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck or automotive systems such as Suspensions & Steering, General Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions.
- Valid Driver’s License.
