About the Role
The Applied AI team aims to make AI a trusted co-pilot for every Chimer, enabling faster progress and better building. As Program Manager, AI Enablement, you will own the programs that facilitate this, including networks, resources, and rhythms that help Chimers adopt AI tools and transform their work. This is a program ownership role focused on defining and executing strategy, not just coordination.
Responsibilities
- Own cross-functional AI enablement programs end-to-end, including design, operating cadence, stakeholder activation, and fluency outcomes.
- Understand workflow problems deeply before proposing solutions, identifying root causes of slowdowns.
- Partner directly with teams to build AI-enabled solutions, actively participating in the design and build process.
- Establish program health models from the outset, defining success metrics, milestones, and status reporting on shared surfaces.
- Drive adoption of AAI-built tools and resources to enable Chimers to improve their skills independently.
- Build and maintain self-serve enablement resources, such as playbooks and golden paths, for independent organizational use.
- Lead change management for AI enablement initiatives, including training, communications, and activation to shift behavior.
- Integrate documentation and governance into programs from the start to ensure sustainability without constant oversight.
- Measure and report on the impact of AI enablement on Chimers' work, including fluency progression, adoption signals, and productivity tied to company goals.
- Foster collaboration between Product, Engineering, BizOps, and People teams to operationalize the future of work at Chime.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Experience taking ambiguous problems and building a program around them, including defining narrative, roadmap, milestones, and operating cadence without initial structure.
- History of driving behavior change and achieving results, not just program completion.
- Hands-on experience building or automating workflows using AI tools, with the ability to discuss personal projects, challenges, and outcomes.
- Experience owning large, distributed programs without direct authority over participants, ensuring their activation and accountability.
- Communication habits that proactively keep stakeholders informed through shared surfaces.
- Experience defining program health models upfront, including success metrics, milestones, and measurement before launch.
- Comfort spending time understanding a problem before designing a solution.
- Familiarity with common productivity or workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Notion).
