Operate as a technical owner in a highly collaborative environment, balancing rapid execution with technical excellence. Independently drive initiatives from concept to production, gain deep exposure to cutting-edge cloud architectures and modern tooling, and directly shape the technical direction of the team.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate systems and experiences that connect Apple's products with its customers.
- Own the technology behind both Apple's online and physical stores.
- Drive interactive marketing experiences and tools that keep creative operations moving.
- Deliver the technology behind every product story Apple tells and every purchase a customer makes.
- Build and extend Kubernetes ecosystems (custom controllers, operators, admission webhooks, or cloud-native tooling).
- Build full-stack internal tools, integrating modern frontends (Vue, React, or Svelte) with Go or Python backends and APIs.
- Operate infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize AI-assisted or AI-infused automation in DevOps workflows (e.g., using LLM-based tools, copilots, or intelligent agents for scripting, incident triage, or pipeline optimization).
- Use Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Independently own complex systems or initiatives from start to finish.
- Design Kubernetes ecosystems.
- Architect and operate multi-region, high-availability infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Manage cloud cost, resilience, and scaling strategy.
- Scope ambiguous problems, propose architecture, execute, and be accountable for outcomes.
- Architect and deliver full-stack internal tools, owning the system from design through production.
- Design reusable IaC modules and adopt organizational-level IaC standards.
- Own build/release systems and CI/CD pipelines at scale.
- Improve CI/CD pipeline reliability and reduce release friction.
- Design and build AI-powered automation for DevOps, including LLM-powered runbooks, autonomous remediation agents, anomaly detection pipelines, and AI-assisted code/infra review tools.
- Drive team adoption of AI-powered automation.
Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software engineering.
- Solid coding skills in Go, or Python.
- Experience building full-stack internal tools.
- Experience operating infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to AI-assisted or AI-infused automation in DevOps workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education/experience.
- 8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering.
- Proven track record of independently owning complex systems or initiatives from start to finish.
- Expert in writing idiomatic, production-grade Go or Python.
- Extensive experience architecting and operating multi-region, high-availability infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Proven ability to operate with minimal direction.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering full-stack internal tools.
- Proven experience in Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
- Proven ownership of build/release systems and CI/CD pipelines at scale.
- Hands-on experience designing and building AI-powered automation for DevOps.
- Proven track record of team adoption of AI-powered automation.
