About the Role
The United Group of Companies, Inc. is seeking a part-time Lifestyle Coordinator to develop and coordinate resident activities at Hearthstone Village, an active adult community in Latham, NY. This role supports the SUN® program and aims to enrich residents' lives through engaging activities and communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop new programs and coordinate resident activities in alignment with the budget and resident interests.
- Plan, organize, lead, instruct, participate in, and supervise resident crafts, games, sports, and recreational/cultural activities.
- Document resident activity and personal work activity.
- Create calendars, fliers, posters, newsletters, and other materials to announce upcoming programs.
- Provide ongoing information and communications with residents via newsletter and event calendar.
- Monitor and order necessary materials and supplies.
- Stock supplies upon receipt.
- Arrange and serve refreshments for activities.
- Transport residents to and from appointments and activities, operating a company vehicle safely and legally.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years driving experience is required if the position will be responsible for driving or considered to be a driving role.
- May be exposed to outdoor spaces or other environments with variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects.
- Frequent body movements include lifting, moving, transferring, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching.
- Able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted, with twisting and turning of the torso, and stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level.
- Exceptional communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to solve problems involving residents and challenging situations.
