About the Role
The Student Recruitment Officer promotes Seneca programs and pathways to prospective students through relationship building, engaging presentations, and advising. This role involves managing leads, promoting participation in recruitment strategies, and traveling to various Seneca campuses and external locations. Occasional overtime may be required.
Responsibilities
- Delivers virtual and/or in-person presentations on Seneca programs, pathways, services, and student experiences.
- Advises prospective students, influencers, and stakeholders on Seneca programs, services, transfer agreements, and application processes.
- Collaborates with internal teams to develop presentations for various audiences.
- Supports the planning and execution of recruitment events and initiatives.
- Develops and maintains relationships with educational stakeholders to foster recruitment strategies.
- Maintains consistent communication with prospective students and applicants throughout the application cycle.
- Proactively contacts prospective students and stakeholders via various communication channels.
- Provides one-on-one advising on programs, pathways, career planning, and application processes.
- Utilizes CRM and marketing automation tools to track lead progress and plan future interactions.
- Provides information and strategizes to increase enrolment in consultation with academic and service areas.
- Develops and conducts campus tours and presentations.
- Arranges and conducts workshops for prospective students.
- Supports the planning and implementation of on-campus special events and open house activities.
- Coordinates and trains student ambassadors for events and general duties.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in a related function involving planning and delivering presentations to medium and large-sized groups.
- Three (3) years of experience in a related function, preferably within the post-secondary system.
- Ability to travel daily and for several days at a time within the province of Ontario.
- A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle may be required.
- A skills assessment test will be administered during the recruitment process.
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered as equivalent to the stated requirements.

- Broad knowledge of current labour trends and the college system in Ontario.
- Ability to develop an understanding and extensive knowledge of Seneca and its program offerings, financial aid, and admission requirements.
