About the Role
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, delivering massive amounts of compute faster than anyone else. The NPI team takes hardware from design release to repeatable production across all Fluidstack products, from compute racks to medium-voltage switchgear. This role involves building the NPI process from scratch, leading the NPI TPM team, owning portfolio-level program visibility, and setting transfer-to-manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Build the NPI process from scratch, including gate definitions, readiness criteria, and ECO and change discipline across products ranging from racks to MV switchgear.
- Lead and develop the NPI TPM team, allocating TPMs across product families and making explicit tradeoffs when coverage is thin.
- Own portfolio-level program visibility, with status and risk reporting rigorous enough for leadership to be informed of problems proactively.
- Set transfer-to-manufacturing standards with manufacturing engineering, defining exit criteria for production ownership.
- Hold the RACI between TPMs and engineering technical leads to ensure clear ownership and timely decision-making.
Requirements
- 10+ years in NPI or program management at a hardware OEM or ODM.
- 3+ years leading TPM or NPI teams.
- Experience building stage-gate processes, defining gates, readiness criteria, and ECO discipline.
- Experience leading TPM or NPI teams and developing team members.
- Experience managing multiple product lines simultaneously.
- Experience killing a program too late and identifying the missed signals.
- Ability to keep NPI lightweight so engineers utilize it.
- Experience with portfolio management tooling (bonus).
- Experience with products spanning compute and power equipment (bonus).
- Experience with manufacturing transfer at new plants (bonus).
- Experience building teams from zero (bonus).
