About the Role
The Assembler at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacturer of advanced power solutions, will be responsible for assembling electronics components accurately according to specifications and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic manual assembly with little or no special tools.
- Assemble batteries, chargers and accessories following supervisor’s directions and work instructions.
- Includes applying tape, heat shrink sleeve, hot melt glue cells, stripping wires, applying tie wraps.
- Assist in applying labels to shipping boxes and/or pack products.
- Maintain assigned safety equipment.
- Maintain daily production quantity records.
- Report anomalies and damaged equipment.
- Consistently assemble daily expected quantities.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
- This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
- Certain positions at EnerSys Advanced Systems require access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. government security regulations. Candidates for these positions should be a “U.S. Person” under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee) and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements for access rights to be considered for a position.
Skills
- Good Hand/Eye Coordination for handling and assembling parts with precision.
- Able to work in the production floor and comfortable to encounter electrical and mechanical components.
