About the Role

The High Yield DCM team works closely with leverage finance bankers and other product specialists to advise on capital structures and funding opportunities, and to market and execute High Yield bond transactions for leveraged corporates, sponsor-owned issuers, projects, or event-driven situations. This role is at the intersection of leverage capital markets syndicate and origination.

Responsibilities

  • Closely follow market trends to identify prevailing market terms, pricing, and depth, and translate this into market updates for stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify capital raising opportunities, structure new deals, enhance cooperation, and maximize revenue.
  • Lead key bond transaction management activities, including documentation, due diligence, roadshow logistics, bookbuilding, and orderbook analysis.
  • Pitch and advise clients on market status, structures, investor dynamics, and execution strategies in collaboration with the leveraged loan syndicate desk.
  • Produce advisory materials to secure internal approvals for high yield bond sales and lead internal syndicate and risk discussions.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior team members and train new joiners and interns.
  • Participate in pitches and client conversations.
  • Develop relationships and maintain dialogue with peers at other financing institutions for market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BA/BS in Business or related field.
  • Series 79, 63 licenses.
  • Prior exposure and track record in the US Capital Markets industry.
  • Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and accounting concepts.
  • Knowledge of international credit and rates markets and global economy.
  • Minimum 2.5 years of prior GCM, Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking experience.
  • Proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills.
  • Superior client relationship, marketing presentation, and sales skills.
  • Deep understanding of products and markets.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Bloomberg skills.
  • Highly professional, articulate, and committed individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully managing multiple competing demands.
  • Customer focus with strong business insight.
  • Strategic thinker with a can-do and visionary mindset.
  • Highly effective teammate with the ability to contribute and cooperate across organizational functions and levels.
  • Passionate about capital markets.
