About the Role

We Insure is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our founding product team and own a consequential product bet on our roadmap. This role focuses on transforming a landscape of bespoke tools into a connected, immersive, and AI-enabled experience for agents, sales, and service teams by leading the effort to scope and implement an end-to-end quoting product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, scoping, sequencing, build, launch, and iteration of a unified quoting experience across personal and commercial P&C lines of business.
  • Map current agent quoting workflows, including raters, portals, workarounds, and re-keyed fields, and quantify associated costs.
  • Evaluate comparative raters, rating engines, carrier APIs, and quoting platforms against building in-house, providing evidence-backed recommendations.
  • Partner with Carrier Relations and engineering on carrier connectivity, prefill and third-party data, and underwriting rules.
  • Ship quoting workflows incrementally, gathering learnings to reshape the plan.
  • Define and track key business metrics such as quote cycle time, quotes per agent per day, quote-to-bind conversion, and agent satisfaction.
  • Set and defend the product roadmap with a clear articulated thesis for sequencing.
  • Conduct user research and interviews with agents, CSRs, operators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain an AI-queryable source of truth for customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • Track developments in insurtech, rating, and quoting, including competitive moves and AI capabilities.
  • Write PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering through the full development cycle, clarifying requirements and validating builds.
  • Own release readiness, including QA coordination, data migration, training materials, and rollout sequencing.
  • Track dependencies, risks, and open decisions transparently.
  • Define, instrument, and report on success metrics.
  • Analyze product, operational, and business data to understand performance.
  • Lead post-launch reviews covering outcomes and learnings.
  • Serve as a trusted product partner across the business, communicating clearly to various audiences.
  • Mentor the Associate Product Manager, set standards for AI integration in product work, and collaborate with product peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, or equivalent ownership of technology products from discovery through launch and continuous improvement.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry; five or more years strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the property and casualty insurance ecosystem, including carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, agencies, policy lifecycle, lines of business, underwriting, and commission structures.
  • Experience with quoting and rating solutions, including comparative raters, rating engines, agency management systems, carrier portals, APIs, and third-party data providers.
  • Proven success delivering consumer-facing digital products with a strong focus on user experience and product adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to own product outcomes from strategy through execution, measuring success based on business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL, spreadsheets, and analytics tools for data-driven decisions.
  • Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data models, and automation.
  • Experience delivering complex, integration-heavy software products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools to improve productivity, research, problem-solving, and product development.
  • Experience with quoting, rating, policy administration, or agent-facing workflow products is preferred.
  • Experience implementing or configuring CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, InsuredMine, or similar solutions is preferred.
  • Experience working within a franchise, MGA, or distributed agency model is preferred.
  • Experience building AI-powered prototypes, automations, or internal tools is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing customer-centric products that simplify complex workflows is preferred.
