About the Role
The Senior Quality Leader will lead the Quality organization for Schenectady Manufacturing, reporting directly to the plant leader. This role is responsible for driving a quality strategy and zero-defect culture, focusing on continuous improvement, waste reduction, minimizing Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), and positively impacting quality KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Foster a zero-defect culture to provide trusted and preferred new units, spare parts, and repairs.
- Protect customers through systemic problem-solving, quick and transparent issue resolution, and leveraging lessons learned.
- Drive systematic root cause solutions.
- Manage all site Quality related KPIs and continuous improvement activities.
- Oversee quality assurance and control for assigned products/manufacturing areas, including conformance of manufacturing goods.
- Lead complex root cause and corrective action investigations to address and eliminate production non-conformances.
- Influence cross-functional teams within the supply chain to solve problems and address risk.
- Analyze, identify, and implement process improvements to enhance capability and performance.
- Review and assure compliance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other technical documents.
- Initiate actions to ensure project/team success, including mitigating risks, problem-solving, and providing technical guidance.
- Ensure control plans and associated documentation are effectively implemented and maintained.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities as part of a cross-functional team.
- Review technical documentation for Quality and Compliance requirements and act as approval authority.
- Promote the sustainment and continuous improvement of the Built in Quality framework.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college with 2-3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3-4 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality
- High School Diploma / GED with 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality
