About the Role

Responsible for delivering case management services to survivors of gender-based violence, operating the ROADS hotline, assisting with housing applications, conducting community outreaches, screening needs, and connecting survivors to supportive services.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the ROADS hotline.
  • Support families by providing case management to enable economic self-reliance, permanent housing, job skills development, and independent access to community resources.
  • Document all services delivered in AWARDS.
  • Support survivors through a trauma-focused lens to assess service appropriateness, develop service plans, and facilitate linkages to social service programs.
  • Explore options for safety, legal, financial, employment, housing, and medical care.
  • Support survivors in assessing their own resources and support systems.
  • Operate ROADS hotline Monday-Friday (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm).
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in AWARDS.
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate with housing, legal, medical, and financial agencies.
  • Develop linkages with community programs to support identified needs, including education/training, employment, mental health, substance use, medical, rental assistance, and financial issues.
  • Engage in community outreaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence.
  • Computer-literate, specifically with Microsoft applications, required.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license required.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Knowledge of AWADS a plus.

  • Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state and local laws.
