About the Role

The Revenue Manager leads and mentors a team, ensuring compliance with funder regulations and improving revenue cycle efficiency. This role involves analyzing invoicing data, resolving collection issues, forecasting contract spending, and generating insights for leadership reports. The Revenue Manager also serves as a liaison between the team, funders, and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction for Assistant Revenue Managers and Revenue Accountants.
  • Enhance analyses, reporting, and data-driven process measures for revenue.
  • Prepare consolidated revenue reports for leadership.
  • Monitor and reconcile revenue general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor A/R aging and payment reports to identify trends and resolutions for collection matters.
  • Troubleshoot complex invoicing and collection matters.
  • Manage team resources by streamlining work processes and procedures to meet deadlines.
  • Manage the month-end revenue close cycle, including journal entries.
  • Understand specific contract billing terms, format, frequency, and backup requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of the assigned contract billing portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Budget department to ensure timely requests for budget modifications and advances.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports for stakeholders.
  • Oversee funder audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting and government contracts management.
  • Knowledge in fiscal management and billing for government contracts (Federal, State, and City agencies).
  • Prior Supervisory experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state, and local laws.
