About the Role
The Operations Manager will ensure systematic, proactive, and efficient operations within the school, and between school and external stakeholders, supporting the mission of providing scholars with a rigorous education.
Responsibilities
- Lead a school operations team to ensure operations facilitate a high-quality education and respectful relationships with families and communities.
- Design, establish, and maintain procedures for day-to-day school operations.
- Build respectful and professional relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
- Maintain school compliance with relevant federal, state, and local non-instructional statutes.
- Monitor the accuracy of school data within state-required databases and internal information systems.
- Manage and execute data systems pertaining to assessments, report cards, promotional status, enrollment, and attendance.
- Prepare and analyze data reports for school leaders.
- Manage procurement, distribution, organization, and inventory systems.
- Assist in planning logistics and execution of school field trips and events.
- Coordinate logistics of school meal service with the external vendor.
- Create and execute detailed event plans.
- Establish and manage a family leadership program.
- Develop systems of preventative maintenance for school technology.
- Oversee the meaningful beautification of the school.
- Ensure that systems, protocols, and policies are well documented and easily accessible.
- Perform other school operations tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- An education equity advocate with an unwavering commitment to the Democracy Prep mission.
- An experienced manager of a team with two or more individuals, or ready to transition into management.
- A data-driven leader comfortable with research and communication for system development.
- An exceptional project manager capable of developing detailed plans.
- An exceptional organizer skilled in prioritization.
