About the Role

Checkr is seeking a strategic leader to spearhead its AI-driven Go-To-Market (GTM) transformation. This role requires a visionary with a deep understanding of marketing, sales, and customer success operations, capable of leveraging AI and systems architecture to revolutionize how these teams function. You will guide Checkr into its next phase of AI outcomes by defining the vision for the GTM technology ecosystem, prioritizing initiatives, and driving execution to achieve tangible results. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Operations, you will be instrumental in evolving our AI-first GTM infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the GTM systems architecture strategy, partnering with GTM leaders to define and evolve it across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Business Development, and Solutions Engineering, designing for scale.
  • Lead AI transformation across GTM, championing an AI-first GTM infrastructure and identifying opportunities for AI agents, automation, and intelligent workflows to enhance operations from lead-to-cash to renewal and expansion.
  • Drive scale and optimization by improving the reliability, performance, and adoption of existing systems, and identifying future capabilities.
  • Protect and elevate the data foundation by ensuring data quality, enrichment, consistent mapping, and robust governance and security protocols for AI model fuel and decision-making.
  • Align stakeholders and drive clarity by defining the systems architecture strategy to support rapid growth and scaling of GTM teams.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of developers and engineers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working with fast-paced companies and a proven track record of delivering high-impact, cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Deep architectural thinking with a demonstrated ability to design reliable, cohesive, well-documented, and scalable systems.
  • Deep comprehension of business motions across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, with the judgment to identify where technology and AI can make a significant impact.
  • Hands-on, 'AI-first' fluency, including experience applying AI tools, agents, and automation to GTM workflows.
  • Experience managing a complex, multi-system GTM tech stack including CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo, Hub Spot), enrichment tools (ZoomInfo, Clearbit, Clay), and sales engagement tools.
  • Product-owner mentality with a focus on usability, design, and long-term maintainability.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders and lead major change efforts.
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and detailed execution levels.
  • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action, resilience through ambiguity, and a focus on delivering meaningful outcomes.
