About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our SAP transformation journey. This role involves developing and enhancing functionality within our SAP PRO environment, supporting migration from SAP UKP, and delivering solutions to improve business efficiency. You will design, develop, and optimize ABAP solutions, translating business requirements into effective system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical aspects of migrating a substantial portion of the business from one SAP system to another, including data mapping, code customization, and integration.
• Develop and modify custom ABAP programs to support new system functionalities and project requirements.
• Optimize the performance of SAP applications.
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout migrations and enhancement implementations.
• Collaborate closely with the ERP team, functional teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and project timelines.
• Lead testing efforts, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Document technical procedures, changes, and system configurations.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure smooth transition and support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including reports, interfaces, extensions, forms, and workflows.
• Familiarity with SAP system migrations and managing large-scale SAP upgrade projects.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize ABAP code for performance and functionality.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming and SAP Data Dictionary.
• Knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the business and integration points.
• Experience with SAP migration tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of SAP architecture and the implications of Enhancement Packs on custom developments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong planning and project management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development.
• A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Availability to work full-time on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extended hours as project demands dictate.
