About the Role

AWARD-WINNING Accounting Firm seeking a Controller for Nonprofit Organizations. This role offers a hybrid work environment, flexible schedule, excellent benefits, and a people-focused culture. Be a Controller with a purpose, using your accounting skills to help nonprofit organizations achieve their mission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients.
• Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
• Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices.
• Handle transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), and payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining workpapers.
• Perform analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
• Prepare for and manage annual audit.
• Provide client and staff training opportunities.

Requirements

• Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations.
• Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis.
• Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.

• $100,000 to $135,000 based on a 35-hour work week
