About the Role

Collections Specialists at OneMain work collaboratively with customers to provide consultative solutions for loan repayment and improve their financial outlook. This role operates in a fast-paced environment focused on customers with existing relationships, servicing and collecting on personal loans or credit cards through digital channels like web chat, text, and phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with all financial servicing needs through inbound and outbound contact.
• Listen to customer situations to help determine how they can best utilize company products and services.
• Work cooperatively and independently in a goal-oriented environment to meet personal and team targets.
• Balance demands of multiple tasks and activities throughout the day.
• Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters, adhering to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures, including FDCPA and state regulations.
• Maintain and note appropriate information and documentation on customer and account status.
• Collaborate in person and virtually with other internal teams using available technology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in utilizing multiple tools/systems simultaneously
• Skilled at achieving and exceeding goals
