About the Role

Elevate is RSM's premier early career program designed for high-performing accounting students. It offers a dynamic three-day leadership conference and a year-long development experience to build lasting relationships and strengthen critical skills in communication, collaboration, business acumen, executive presence, technology, and professional networking. Participants will gain industry knowledge, enhance leadership capabilities, and develop the confidence to make an immediate impact in their internship and future career.

Responsibilities

  • Sit in on client meetings and support conducting consulting projects
  • Prepare reports on consulting services performed for clients
  • Deliver reports and discuss results and recommendations with clients
  • Travel to client locations as requested to provide consulting services
  • Complete client projects efficiently in accordance with the project timeline and critical dates
  • Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze client information and document results and recommendations
  • Attend specific conferences, trainings, & meetings to continue professional development relevant to the role

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in accounting
  • Anticipated full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030
  • Demonstrated involvement and leadership in student organizations on campus and in their community
  • Be a team player with strong communication skills
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment with a desire to be client focused
  • Learn how to provide skilled advisory services
  • Maintain a minimum 3.4 GPA (preferred)
  • 90 credit hours completed (at point of internship)
  • Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university
  • Major in Accounting
  • Travel to assigned client locations may be required
  • Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Certification or working towards certification as a CPA (preferred but not required)
  • RSM does not intend to hire entry-level candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future
