About the Role
Harbor Capital Advisors is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Investment Research Team (IRT). The IRT is responsible for underwriting and selecting investment partners. This role involves underwriting and covering external investment managers, and communicating insights to stakeholders. It offers direct impact in a growing company with exposure to diverse asset classes and investment dialogues.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the investment merits of existing investment strategies.
- Identify and underwrite new investment strategies through deep research and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Translate investment message into actionable written and verbal insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the rigor of the investment process through discussion, debate, and challenge.
- Collaborate with adjacent teams within the broader Investments Team, such as the Multi-Asset, Product, and Investment Specialist teams.
Requirements
- 5-15 years of relevant investment experience, including manager selection, investment due diligence, investment research, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of the asset management industry and investment strategies.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing investment strategies and conducting rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Experience independently investigating open-ended investment, analytical, and data-related questions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating investment and technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
- Experience managing or interacting with external investment manager relationships.
- Demonstrated experience using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in relevant professional work.
