About the Role
The Sr. EHS Manager will create, implement, and monitor EHS strategies and programs to promote a safe and healthy workplace for SkyWater TX employees. This role ensures compliance with state and federal legislation, identifies EHS-related risks and mitigations, and fosters a positive safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for development and implementation of the Environmental (ISO14001) and Health & Safety (ISO45001) Management System, policies, processes, and prevention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and all related agency communication.
- Provide site level representation with third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies including OSHA and the environment agencies.
- Establish EHS objectives, goals, strategies, and key performance indicators in conjunction with affected business groups.
- Develop and manage the EHS team, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience managing EHS programs, including people management experience.
- EHS experience in chemically intensive manufacturing industry.
- Experience in environmental management, permit and regulatory compliance including Air, Water and Waste.
- Technical experience in occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis in chemical safety/compatibility.
- Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions, including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements.
- Strong ability to negotiate and manage people, equipment, and process changes relative to EHS.
- Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives with a focus on measurable results.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point).
