About the Role

HP Hood is seeking a high-impact player to join their team. This role involves critical processing tasks within a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Batching, legal pasteurization, and storage of all products according to plant SOPs and the PMO.
  • Operation of the HTST while maintaining legal pasteurization requirements.
  • Proper documentation for all charts and records in accordance with NYS AG+MKTS legal requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain NYS AG+MKTS broken seal certification and assist with HTST system inspections.
  • CIP all tanks, lines, and equipment associated with processing.
  • Follow all company formulation and assure correct ingredients amounts are being used and documented.
  • Assist with setting yogurt silos, operating the yogurt separator, and assisting in the cottage cheese vat room when needed.
  • Perform a daily inventory of products in the processing area at beginning of the shift to maintain 72/24 hour storage regulations.
  • Work in conjunction with manufacturing employees to properly transfer raw ingredients.
  • Perform assigned sanitary PM tasks monthly.
  • Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.
  • Keep all work areas, including the ingredient storage area, neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way.
  • Stay until job is completed or relieved.
  • Perform any other assignment by a Supervisor or Foreman.

  • Must stay until job is completed or relieved.

Salary/Compensations

  • $26.32 an hour, once deemed qualified as a Processor, the hourly pay rate will increase to $27.07/hour.
