About the Role

The Senior Manager, Commercial Accounts will be responsible for successfully managing all partners who have sponsorship rights in France to meet annual revenue targets. The role will require someone who possesses strong leadership skills with experience of working cross functionally and championing partner programs internally. Results will be measured against team performance, sponsorship revenue, activation, and satisfaction, along with increased and improved fan engagement metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with existing NFL partners and resolve partner issues creatively and efficiently.
  • Identify and contact key decision makers at the C-suite level.
  • Lead local partner renewals and support upsells to meet revenue targets, collaborating with the global team on activation funds.
  • Support Global New Business by providing market perspectives, identifying targets/contacts, and prioritizing white space opportunities.
  • Collaborate with NFL Marketing and Consumer Products teams to develop integrated partnership solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and revenue streams, including traditional and digital inventory.
  • Analyze growth opportunities to drive profitability and conduct regular analysis to mitigate risks.
  • Provide support using key sponsorship and valuation metrics during contractual discussions.
  • Build innovative and tailored propositions to attract potential sponsors.
  • Manage local sales agencies to ensure scope of work execution and provide support.
  • Secure incremental revenue by working closely with the international team, Marketing, and Consumer Products.
  • Ensure a consistent look and feel and a joined-up approach with the Global Sponsorship Team.
  • Manage local activation agencies to ensure scope execution and provide support.
  • Lead and oversee activation and asset development for key League priorities, including International Games and in-market tentpole activations.
  • Support Club Business Development with team activity and new partnerships, advising on local partner rights.
  • Oversee the partnership delivery program to ensure asset availability and inventory management.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement based on market knowledge and execution requirements.
  • Maintain strong marketplace knowledge about industry trends and company spend in sponsorship/marketing.
  • Act as a local expert on French consumer behavior, sports marketing trends, sponsorship innovation, and fan engagement opportunities.
  • Champion a marketing-first approach to partnership development by identifying opportunities for brand storytelling, content, and experiences.
  • Provide updates to Country Manager, France, and US Global Sponsorship Team on partner management.
  • Navigate a complex matrix business, protecting the interests of the team and commercial partners.
  • Manage the discretionary commercial budget and report regularly to Country Manager, France, NFL Finance team, and US Global Sponsorship Team.
  • Align with international reporting processes to ensure internal departments are engaged with NFL Partners.
  • Foster professional relationships with Partners, agencies, internal stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, public relations, and marketing for successful contracting and sign-off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years’ experience in commercial, sales, partnerships or with agency
  • 3 years management experience
  • Fluent in French and English
