About the Role
We are seeking professional and dependable Full-Time Campus Security Officers to join our team at a high-profile campus location in Manhattan, NY. This position is ideal for security professionals who understand the importance of campus safety and are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the campus
- Monitor student, faculty, staff, and visitor activity
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings and surrounding areas
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
- Enforce campus policies and security procedures
- Assist with maintaining a safe and secure campus environment
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Complete incident reports and other required documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Work closely with campus personnel and the security team to address safety concerns
Requirements
- Active NYS Security Guard License required
- Valid F-01 Fireguard certification required
- Prior security experience required; campus, educational, or institutional experience preferred
- Must be able to commute reliably to Manhattan, NY
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Must understand the importance of maintaining a safe environment on a high-profile campus
- Must be available to work weekends and assigned shifts
- Must be willing to work days, evenings, or overnights based on operational needs
