About the Role
Gateway Ophthalmology is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high-volume practice focused on quality and compassionate complete eye care services.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient history
- Determine visual acuity
- Perform automated refraction
- Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by physician
- Perform office duties and clinical tasks, including entering data into EMR
- Provide patient services
- Maintain equipment and instruments
Requirements
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
- Must be flexible with traveling to various locations
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to seek instruction in areas where not knowledgeable
- Ability to recognize inconsistencies
