About the Role
The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The Registered Nurse on 2 North develops specialized skill in the area of Cardiac Care including telemetry monitoring. The Registered Nurse on 2 North also provides care to adult adolescent and geriatric populations with medical and/or surgical conditions. The 2 North RN is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. The 2 West Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Registered Professional Nursing
- Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
