About the Role
Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is seeking driven, passionate, and collaborative individuals to join our sophisticated and growing tax practice. This position will provide innovative tax solutions for a diverse client base, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, pre-IPO entities, and publicly traded companies. The role offers direct client interaction and insight into Silicon Valley trends, fostering the development of technical, professional, leadership, and interpersonal skills for a successful career.
Responsibilities
- Develop a well-rounded tax foundation through income tax planning and return preparation for various clients.
- Attend client meetings and engagement planning meetings.
- Prepare quarterly estimates using appropriate techniques.
- Implement federal, state, and foreign tax minimization strategies.
- Grow understanding of tax law and tax return components.
- Sharpen accounting skills by creating financial statements, booking journal entries, and generating personal balance sheets/net worth statements.
- Assist businesses with provisions, international tax issues, multi-state issues, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Help individuals with estate and gift tax planning, charitable giving, and philanthropy services.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program with a concentration in accounting.
- Final graduation date between December 2025 and October 2026.
- Educational requirements for California CPA licensure completed prior to start date.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.2, with a higher major GPA preferred.
- Accounting courses must be completed for a letter grade.
- Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Not eligible for sponsorship and no sponsorship for work visas.
- May require participation in offsite events and activities involving extended periods of standing and walking.
- May require extended periods of sitting and the ability to transport a company-provided laptop and other work-related materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
